Effective Oct 2021- Minimum Wage Increase

The regional minimum wage list for 2021 is now released by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.The guideline proposed in mid-July by the Central Minimum Wage Council was a uniform increase of 28 yen nationwide. 
The finalized figures are based on this guideline, with some prefectures resulting in an increase above 28 yen.

<New hourly minimum wage>
Tokyo :    JPY1,041   (effective Oct 1st)
Kanagawa: JPY1,040 (effective Oct 1st)
Osaka:  JPY992  (effective Oct 1st)
